My wife, Deb, and I began our real estate careers after deciding that corporate life was not for us. We wanted to be more in control of our life and the time we spent with our family. We looked at many different options but decided that working in Real Estate in the Central Florida market was the right decision for us. So in 2003, we studied, earned our Real Estate license, and started working in the real estate business. Little did we know how much this decision would change our lives.
We have owned two different brokerages (J&D Real Estate and JC Penny Realty) and have worked in the Short Term Vacation home market in the Disney area for over 20 years. We are a multi-faceted office; we work with first-time home buyers, commercial buyers, sellers, people looking to relocate, and investors as well. We often have the opportunity to work with individuals who are looking to purchase a lifestyle asset or sometimes strictly an investment property that will fund itself and provide an income stream for the owner. These owners are from all across the US and the world.
We have become Certified Resort and 2nd Home Property Specialists as well as Certified International Property Specialists through the National Association of Realtors (NAR). We also have a few select team members who have earned the title of Certified Vacation Rental Agents. These team members have access to investment date tools that only a select few have and can help investors have confidence that they are selecting the perfect property to fit their investment portfolio.
Real snagged another 25-agent team in Central Florida. The JC Penny Team, now The JC Penny Team Brokered By Real Broker, LLC, will continue to serve central Florida. Established in 2013, the brokerage was founded by husband and wife team Jon and Deb Penny, who will continue to oversee the team.
Jon Penny is a two-decade real estate veteran who specializes in vacation home sales, while Deb Penny leads coaching and training efforts for the firm. The team serves a range of clients including traditional buyers and sellers, commercial buyers, relocating buyers and investors.
"The energy and excitement at Real, along with the technology and increased opportunity to grow, will allow the JC Penny Team to thrive through 2023 and beyond," Deb Penny said.
